A few months ago I had an incident where the owner of a toy store had a kid in his arm. He took a photo, and he was told to leave the child alone. One of the kids asked if he could take the photo, and the owner said yes. When the kid had left the store, he took the photo, and he walked out the door, but he didn’t come back out.
A few months after that, my friend got her phone and asked if she could take a photo of the man he was with. But it didn’t take long, and then she snapped it.
The fact that the subject of the photo is the same guy in the photo says a lot about how people deal with things. When people say things like, “I’ll never do that again,” or, “I’m not going to do that again,” it indicates that you have to learn to take a break from the habit.
Not that I am advocating breaking things off with someone who you are with, but it’s a good reminder that we have to continue to be mindful of our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. And it’s a good reminder that you can’t really control others’ behavior, so how you handle things will determine if they continue to bother you.
I remember that line of advice very well, but I don’t agree that it applies to drug users. If a drug user has learned to take a break from their addiction, they are more likely to be able to stay on the drug for long. They don’t need to be constantly on drugs to be able to function normally. Now, on the other hand, if a drug user has not learned to take a break from their drug of choice then they are more likely to get a relapse.
I think this advice is pretty much spot on. If you are on drugs, then you should learn how to quit. The problem is that you have to find the right drugs to handle your withdrawal if you are not ready to quit.
As a matter of fact, the very first time I heard the term “drug self portrait” I thought it was some kind of weird science fiction idea. However, it is very real. You can go to treatment centers and get help to quit using drugs. You can try to quit your habit with a drug. You can go to a detox center and try to get clean of drugs. These centers are all equally effective.
In my experience, the most effective way to quit using drugs is to get clean. This is because once you get clean, you can handle using drugs again. Many people who are trying to quit drugs have very difficult times, because they are just not ready to quit.
The people who are trying to quit drugs, have done it themselves, but not everyone who is trying to quit drugs is helping themselves through the drug. They are only trying to stop using them, but that’s a very small percentage of the people that are trying to quit drugs.
There are a variety of reasons why a person may stop using drugs. Some people who want to quit drugs don’t realize that they need to be clean, because they think they can quit when they feel better. Others have no idea that drugs are harmful and don’t realize the long-term damage they can have on their health. Some people just don’t realize what they are doing, because they don’t know that they can quit using drugs.
